- generations and are still popular,
except ‘the materials are plastic
. and vinyl instead of wood or
wicker, -

: The. exception is woodworkers
-who \ are ' still. making natural
‘wooden toys for. children.

The teddy bear made popular
and named after Theodore (Ted-
dy)- Roosevelt will always be a
favorite, as will every little girl’s
dream doll, with curly hair, bon-
net, and be-ribboned dress.

Toys such as these are still high
on children’s lists to Santa.

Probably high on the wish list '

What better location could be
found than the waterfront heritage
site of the Wallace. Shipyards,
which have stood vacant far too
long? a

.At the same time, I] would per-
sonally like to see added: to this
wish fist an art gallery for the
North Shore in close proximity (in
a building of its own) to the new
museum, to feature works of
North Shore and Canadian artists.
