DUTCH popsters Adling
and Cameron haven’t written
a song for a movie.

No, they’ve written songs
for 12 screen classics. The only
catch is, none of them have
been made yet. Each exists
solely in the fevered imagina-
tion of our fearless duo — the
only evidence found in 2
swirling mass of musical notes
and a series of exquisitely craft-
ed posters.

From the wah-wah guitar
and horns of “Le Flic and La
Fille” (2 1968 thriller “star-
ting” Alaia Delon) to the

. Krafewerk-ian . robotics — of
“1999 Space Club,”
Imaginary Films runs the
gamut of cinematic experience.

Soulful crooning on “New
Day” sits cheek-by-jowi with
the retro-disco of “Let’s Get

Higher.” Charlie’s Angels pro-
totype “Shiva’s Daughters,”
meanwhile, brings Bollywood
to the masses with mixes that
would charm the pants off any
snake.

Then there is “Hashi the
Drug Sniffing Canine,” the
“tale” of a working dog’s dis-
appointment in his master, a
“once sweet boy now turned
smuggling adult.”

The liner notes are as enter-
taining as the tunes, and the
tunes are all impossibly catchy.
A must-buy.
