Wednesday, February 5, 1992 —- North Shore News — 5 Woman injured A 44-YEAR-OLD North Vancouver woman suffered critical head injuries Saturday when she was struck by a vehicle while attempting to watk across Main Street near ga Upper Levels Highway exit ramp. According to North Vancouver RCMP investigators, Cheryle Anne Ibaraki was struck by a vehicle that was travelling east on Main Street. The police investigation into the accident coniinues. Warrant issued A WARRANT has been issued for the arrest of a man charged in connection with the June 7 smash-and-grab robbery of a jewelry store in North Vancouver’s Capilano Mall. Joseph Kenneth Hieck, 30, of Burnaby was charged with possession of a pendant which was the property of Lugaro Jewellers. Hieck failed to appcar for a preliminary kearing in North Vancouver provincial court on Jan. 28. During the robbery, a man with a sawed-off shotgun fired twice into the mall's food area.
