on a positive note when the Belle
“B’’ Blades took first place in a
tournament held in Delta over the
holidays.

The first weekend of the new
year saw the Eagles and Hawks
Tween teams play each other for
the first time in regular league ac-
tion.

The Eagles, behind some ex-
cellent goaltending by Katy Mayrs,
came back: from a 2-0 deficit to
defeat the Hawks 4-2.

A good defensive effort by
Sabrina Lee and Erin Bell and a
strong offensive play from Allison
Gibbs helped tur the game
around for the Eagles.

In other action, the Junior “B’’
Jets, who played twice on Jan. 3,
remained undefeated with wins’
over Langley and Delta by scores
of 3-2 and 4-2 respectively. a

. Lynn Durom turned in strong
efforts in both games for the Jets.
The Belle “B’’ Biades, coming
off their fine tournament win,
came from behind:to hammer out
