, IN RECENT rulings in New Jersey and On-
tarie, the courts held the host of a party,
private house hosts or a hotels and corpora-
tions, responsible for damages done by a
drunk driver attending the house or {
establishment. An Ontario Supreme Court
judge ruied that a hotel was responsible along
with the driver for serving liquor to an already
drunk minor, fining the company in excess of
a million dollars. Today’s question is:

Should host be responsible
| for drinking, driving guests? |

the party, but it shouldn’t

shouldn’t drink and drive
and a host should try to
stop him, but sometimes
you can't control it.

One person might drink

and another could act
