The 32-year-old com- petitive skier, who lost his leg to cancer in 1977, turned to, and learned well, a sport he had never tried before, and is committed to challenging the rest of the world’s best at the 1986 World Disabled Ski Cham- pionships in Eurape. Profes- sional skiiers, and Chew’s peers, consider Chew to be Canada’s best hope for a World Disabled title.
