grey and white mottled back.
The whales paid us no atten-
tion as they gradually moved
closer to the boat.

‘Are they dangerous?”’
asked someone.

“No, they re
unagegressive,’ ‘replied Kevin,
adding that the grey whale
has no teeth ‘‘And, they're
used to us We had one old
fellow the other day who
needed a back scratch He
tubbed himself on the sides
oft the boat for five minutes
