With the consignment
store, Byorge says she took
into. considerauon people's
budgets. People don’t have
the money to be buying new
outfits all the time, and with
the maternity wear she’s sell-
ing, a lot of it is made to last
trom four months might up to
term.

The styles Bjorge carries
are classic, comfortable and
washable, she says. ‘*‘We
have ladies sewing jogging
sets, pants and blouses for
the store,’’ she explained, so
some of the items are new,
but are still sold on a consign-
ment basis.

Boomers and Echos is a

‘‘happy positive place to be,
with new moms and little
ones,’" Bjorge says. “ll
meet a woman when she’s
two months pregnant, and I
see her through the pregnan-
cy and then meet the new
baby.”’
e The store is made for its
customers with extra large
change rooms to make room
for baby and mom, and the
store is ‘‘baby-proof’’ which
allows children to play with-
out something breaking.

‘‘Usually the store is com-
plete chaos, like a birthday
party,’ Bjorge says. **So I’m
exhausted by 5 p.m.’’

She says she loves working
at the store, but adds
laughingly, ‘‘Ask me that
when there’s 30 kids climbing

the walls and | may answer
differently.’’

Boomers and Echos 1s
open seven days a week,
which makes it convenient
for customers. ‘‘Lots of
moms are working, so Sun-
days are a good day to leave
open.”’
