MP’s survey shows 35%
ready to ‘leave Canada’

A survey by North Vancouver-Burnaby MP
Chuck Cook shows 35 per cent of his constituency
favors leaving Canada unless B.C. gets a better
deal out of confederation. And Cook feels that all

the western separatist movement lacks is a
messiah to lead it.

TWO NORTH SHORE MEN CHARGED

Two North Shore men have been charged with
raping women in West Vancouver. Police
arrested them after a car the men are reported to
have been in was chased through North Van-
couver streets at 80 mph and eventually stopped
when it rammed a police car.

The men appeared in
provincial court in West
Vancouver last week as a
result of last Saturday's
chase and were released on
bail of 35.000 and cash
