ly French. Some good bur-
gundies and beaujolais, a few
interesting non- French bot-
des.

A dozen are available by
the glass ($4.50 to $7).

Ambience, even after only
a few weeks, is far more spir-
ited and upbeat than its pre-
decessor. Once warmer
weather hits, Le Bistro’s
expansive outdoor patio will
add that much more to its
appeal.

The Segur brothers have
gambled mightily on their
North Vancouver dining
foray, but with Michel sta-
tioned at their Chez Michel
home base and Philippe man-
ning the eastern front they
have a good chance to return
life to what remains a great
North Shore dining room.
