Ticket to tour through North Shore gardens

THE North Shore Gardening Contest Comn-‘ttee recently held uy
its Ninth Annual Garden Tour. Hundreds curned up for a turn-

abour through posy-laden pathways, perfectly coifted lawr

English garden havens, and the blooming inspiration of con

tainer gardening. [t was a picture-perfect day laden with sun

and smiles. Wide brimmed hats, parasols, shady porches and

refreshing lemonade offered escape from the heat. A master

gardener and greeting committee welcomed ali to each of the

seven North and West Van sites. Green thumbs meandered luy-

uriously at cheir own pace through cach place. Delightful.
