The second annual event will take place Sept. 1] and 12° at the Howe Sound Theatre in Squamis sh. - Last year’s festival attract- ed films from across the coun- try. Included in the lineup of more, than 14 films. were Touched Alive, an animated short by Steven Arthur, and the half-hour drama Deadalus is Dead by Michael Easton, star of the TV series Two. Festival director Adriane Polo is a Squamish film- maker and former Deep Cove resident. — She’s hoping the festival will; attract new and cmerg- ing talent from across Canada, as well as the U.S. _and Europe. “There are so many great films out there, original in fla- vor, . richly textured and designed —- quite different from what the mass audience is used to,” said Polo.
