A. GAS ‘leak in the motor may have’ caused a 1989
Volkswagen van to catch fire on Taylor Way W ednesday
afternoon, said West Vancouver Potice.

The fire was quickly extinguished by firefighters, but
not before the car had been gutted and about $3,500 dol-

lars in damage done.

Police said the van had been serviced a week before the

incident.

” The fire did r not lead to any: -injurigs. The driver of the

van lives in North Vancouver.

Firefighters were alerted to the blaze by a caller ona

cell phone.
