North Shore News 12 ~ Wednesday, July 5, 1989 - Windsor athletes offered scholarships THREE WINDSOR high school students have each been offered full athletic football scholarships to join the Simon Frascr Univer- sity Clansmen. Chris Harris, Warren Castiey and Craig Norris, all 1989 pradu- ates of Windsor, were offered four-year scholarships. Harris was offered $1,500 annually over four years, while Castley and Norris were offered $1,000. ** All three have tremendous potential and with continued hard work both in and out of the classroom they will be successful,’ said Windsor’s football coach Jay Prepchuk. West Van divers eye B.C. medals WEST VANCOUVER'S Paige Gordon and Grace Van Berknm are hoping to bring home a gold medal from the 1989 Canada Summer Games held this year in Saskatoon. The dynamic duo, who attend Kitsilano high school, will com- pete with Team B.C. for the crown. Gordon, 16, won a gold medal at the 1988 junior national diving championships in Toronto for tower one-metre and three-metre events. Van Berkum, also 16, was awarded a silver in the 100 and 300-mietre diving events. “
