Don Shannon of Lakeview
Realty, Surrey as president
for the 1988-89 term.

vice-president, and Doug
Bamford, Golden West Re-
alty, Parksville, as treasurer.

ernment lobbying and_liai-
son; and continuing profes-
sional education for realtors.
Interviewed recently, presi-
dent Don Shannon em-
phasized BCREA’s role in
effective lobbying to gain
optimum conditions for the
practice of real estate in
B.C.

‘Look for an increasingly

proactive stance, as BCREA
makes its voice heard, on the
municipal, provincial and
even federal levels,’’ said
Shannon. As well, he stated
“the association is gearing
up for a major initiative —
the development and
delivery of a first-class pro-
fessional education program
for realtors.””

The British Columbia Real
Estate Association, through
its thirteen member real
estate boards, speaks for
over 10,000 realtors in B.C.
