Adapted from the classic Agatha Christie novel A Murder is An- nounced, the company’s latest production of the same name promises to delight whodunnit fans of all ages. Opening night is set for Nov. 5 and the play runs Wednesdays through Saturdays until Nov. 22. Tickets for the 8 p.m. shows are $5 Wednesdays and Thursdays, and $6 Fridays and Saturdays. NV man honered A REUNION of lifeguards, with guest of honor George Burrows in attendance, will take place Wed- nesday, Nov. 26 at the Stanley Park Pavilion. Burrows, a North Vancouver resident, was a_ well-known lifeguard instructor. He devoted 40 years to the lifeguard program. Burrows was born in 1910 in Battersea, England. He emigrated to Vancouver with his family in 1911 and attended Henry Hudson School. In his early teens Burrows was a competitive swimmer ,and com- peted in the 1932 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. . After his father retired as the Vancouver Aquatic supervisor, Burrows took over the position in 1931 and held it until 1971. ILAC SERVICE CO.
