The concept of. the credit
union ‘‘Plan 24’’ savings
account, which |. calculates
interest on minimum daily
balances, has finally been
adopted by a chartered bank.
The announcement was
made earlier this month by
the Bank of British Colum-
bia.

There’s a difference, how-
ever. The credit union ‘‘Plan
24”’—available to credit

requirement. The imitative
Bank of B.C. plan requires a
minimum daily balance of
$500 to earn interest.
