West Vancouver council recently held a public meci:ng to hear from concerned citiz about the pro- posed construction of a new ft storey, 15-unit waterfront highrise. Several neighboring residents packed themselves into 2 full council chamber last -veek. They told council that the impact of this building would eliminate wer troubl if not all, of the views from their properties. The tower will be built at Bellevue. It will replace 20 older apartment units that were previously part of ing co-op originally built in 195 The proceeds of the sale of the co-op were so lucrative that some of the previous owners are planning to move into the development. The application for the building was subnutted by architect Lawrence Doyle, on behalf of Millennium Development Corp. It was ened in part by the New York architectural Robert A.M. Stern.
