While searching the park area, PSD Chase located and recovered a. cellular phone that had been stolen days ear- lier from the victim's vehicle. The phone had been thrown in the bush by the suspects in an attempt to destroy any evi- dence. Seymour Friday to locate four hikers who had lost their way. Mary-Anne Brown, +3, her 17-year- son Stephen Brown and friends Mike and Darren Janzen, also 17, used a cellular phoue to request help when they realized they Ave. Lonsdale could not locate rheir destination, a Scout cabin. Members ¢ th Shore Rescue and a RCMP dog team were called out ro look for them at approximately 8:30 p.m. The rescuers located the missing party with assistance trom one of the hikers who had walked out on his own. All four hikers were treated for mild hypothermia.
