NEWS BRIEFS Video store robbed NORTH VANCOUVER RCMP are searching for three Oriental males who robbed a Lonsdale-area video store at about II p.m. on Aug. 21. The police report that the trio entered 24-Hour Video, 201-1200 Lonsdale Ave. and two of the males produced weapons. The trio then held the teller at gunpoint before escap- lug with en undetermined amount of cash. No description of the suspects was released. Sea chase TWO MEN suspecied of attempting to steal an outboard engine from Seycove Marina in Deep Cove were ap- prehended Aug. £8 folowing a chase that involved a loca} resident, Ports Canada Police and North Van- couver RCMP. In his survey, Wallace found that six companies on the North Shore waterfront spend over $1 million a year in local purchases. In total, waterfront business rep- resents an estimated $43 million annually in local purchases. The report also found that 48% of waterfront industry employees are North Shore residents and that the average wage of an employee is $38,000 a year. In 1990, 26% of the companies surveyed in the report had reve- nues under $5 million while 16% had revenues over $50 million. The report was produced with help from the EDC and the Waterfront industry Steering Committce; funding was supplied by the B.C.
