Exchange students seek host families

ASSE INTERNATIONAL Student
Exchange Programs (ASSE) would
like to introduce North Shore resi-
dents to some special people.

Exceptional high school students
from Scandinavia, France,
Holland, Germany, Great Britain,
Spain, Italy, Mexico the United
States, Australia, New Zealand
and French Canada are looking
forward to spending the upcoming
academic year in Canada as ex-
change students. Local families are

needed to host students.

Potential host families come
from a wide variety of
backgrounds and lifestyles.

humor,’’ says Mike Keleher, area
coordinator for British Columbia.

“We will help the host family
choose a student who has some in-
terests in common with the family.
We keep in contact with the host

family and studenr on a regular
basis to assure everything is going
smoothly,’’ says Keleher.

The students are from 15 to 18
years old, are fluent in English,
fully insured and have their own
spending money. They expect to
share household responsibilities
and be included in family activi-
ties.
