SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS.

to, nine. outstanding graduates of
-the B.C. Youth Association
(BCYSA) June 14\ at the Associa-
tion’s Annual General Meeting.

BCYSA ‘scholarships are made°

available to selected grade 12 stu-

dents who.-wish‘to continue their ’

education .at-a post-secondary .in-
stitute upon graduation...
* Students who are already enroll-

ed ‘in’ "post-secondary: colleges or
universities, but meet: eligibility re- -

quirements, can also’ apply for one

. of the nine awards.’ *

To be eligible, applicants’ must

In addition, the boy or, girl must
have’ played for three: or more
years on a team affiliated with the

youth . association.. Only players :.
currently registered with the’

BCYSA will be considered for the
awards.

While scholastic achievement is
the main criteria used to determine
BCYSA scholarship. winners, the
committee ‘also’ looks for a can-
didate’s involvement’: in ‘areas of
‘soccer other than'as a ‘player.

consideration by the committee.
