The Act, which replaces the outdated Juvenile Delin- quents Act, makes sweeping procedural changes and, in the most publicized move, creates a uniform maximum age for juveniles across Canada effective Apml 1, 1985, when at age 18 young offenders will be dealt with in adult courts instead of youth courts, Henry Mathias, the Pro yect.
