THE RED-TAILED hawk
rescued by a trio of North
Vancouver men is on its way
to recovery at a Surrey home
says a member of the Wildlife
Rescue Association.

Fran Lake said the hawk,
which is suffering from a bad

ear infection and not from a
broken wing as originally
thought, has been turned
over to Jim Day, an expert in
dealing with hawks, eagles,
owls and similar birds.

Once the bird has been
nursed back to health it will

be released in the Campbell
River Regional Park in Sur-
rey, Lake said.
