Since the North Vancouver college has so few degree level programs (meaning a three to four year term tor a student), many of the school’s top ath- letes get no further than a sophomore season in a Blues uniform before moving on. Tacobellis isn’t complaining when he points this out, only < telling it like it is. And it is no excuse cither, he'll also Iet you know. After alt, what’s there to excuse? In the: past decade the col- iege’s soccer program has been the envy of every post-sec- ondary . institution in the province, if not the country. During that 10 year span, ~Capilano College soccer teams haye wen six national and cight provincial tides. Two seasons ago, the school made national CAP College women’s soccer head coach Doug Abercrombie — another championship season? history when both it’s mens’ and womens’ teams brought back national crowns te the North Vancouver campus. In the late "80s and early “90s it was the men’s teams that set the standard; in the past few years it has been the women’s time to shine. The women’s squad came within one win of making Canadian college history fast year. The Blucs, who were at the time two-time defending Canadian champions, fost 1-nil to Quebec’s John Abbott Islanders in last year’s national final. No team has ever won three straight national tities. lacobellis points to good recruiting and women’s head . Water is Life. - _. All Life Needs Water.
