Bursting with knowledge about yesteryear, William has chronicled his memories in his recently published first book tithed A Vancouver Boyhood: Recullections of Growing Up In Vancouver 1925-1945. He was recently invited to make a guest appearance at the Silver Harbour Centre in North Van where be joined a small but enthusiastic group of adult students enrofled im writer Vivienne Clarke's creative woting class. Here, the emphasis is on bringing the writer's aspirations to fruition, sharpening skills, and having a good time. After some class dis- cussion, William read an excerpt from his book. Like its author, A Vancouver Boyhood is rich in verbal detail, colorful, nostalgic, ely optimistic, and courageous. Arthur Breomhall heads into class for a visit with guest Robin William.
