"MEI downed fourth seeded West
Vancouver 69-60 in the quarter-
finals of the tournament last
‘Thursday, ending what was a great
season for Tom. Rippon’s team.
West Vancouver finished seventh in
the final provincial standings.
Standout Highlander guard Tim
Engtebert, averaging 28.75 points

over the four games he played inthe
tournament (including an incredible
50-point performance in West Van's
opening round win) was selected as
a B.C. second team all-star follow-
ing the tournament.

early B.C. double-A tournament
losses, Sutherland’s senior boys’
team stormed back with two straight
wins to finish (3th in the province.
Sabre David Grant scored a tour-
nament high 111 points. (27.75
points per game) and was named to
the second all-star team.

Collingwood’s senior girls’ team
finished second in the province at
the single-A level. and placed two
players on the tournament all-star
team — Claire Hinnell and Janet
McLachlan,
