longest manned penetration of a
water-filled tunnel.

The New York Power
Authority commissioned the
nspection of the Niagara Falls
Power Project, Lewiston, N.Y. twin
water conduits. The conduits mea-
sured 15 m wide by 20 m high with
the total inspection length of 22,200
ft. The submarine dive duration was
19.5 hours.

The inspection was completed
