WORKING R&D FACILITY AT THE QUAY Construction commenced early this year on a research and development facility located on Lonsdale Quay’s last remaining office site. The site is located directly: north of the Pacific’ Marine Training Institute on Esplanade and is being developed jointly, by Pinecorp Research Corporation and Pinecorp Energy Research Corporation. Designed by the award-winning architectural firm of Waisman, Dewar, Grout, the 55,000 square foot office building should be completed by October 1985. Pinecorp expects to create approximately 250 new jobs for the North.Shore with their pro- ject, primarily consisting of research technicians and computer and support staff. Funding for the project was obiained in part through the sale of Scientific Research Tax’ Credits.
