THE OPENING of Sears
at Capilano Mall on
Sundays is expected to
have a major impact on
the mall, says manager
Bob Kaight.

strong response from cus-
tomers to our first two
weekends of being open
and this will give us
another major boost,"’
Knight says. ~“

The Sunday opening of
Woolco and other stores
in the mall generated
considerable interest,
Knight says, but the
shopping ‘‘traffic  pat-
terns’’ were askew
because ‘‘with the lights
off at Sears, there weren't
many people heading to
that end of the mall."’
