FOR THE FINAL TOUCH 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday thru Saturday call 987-2966 Seymour Parkway, two cougars killed and partially devoured a targe dog. The cougars were hunted down and shot. According to Mr. Adolph however, coyotes who kill and devour small pets are not considered to be a problem and his depart- ment will not respond to complaints of this nature. If coyotes are allowed unhindered access to small pets as a source of food, there is no reason for them to return to the wilds and hunt as they should. Pets are much more accessible and easier to catch. the statement by the lady who saw her cat being carried off that coyotes are becoming a real problem is not an exaggeration and with the kindof meutalitydisplayed by Mr. Adolph and the con- servation department it can only become worse and force pet owners to protect their animals any way they can.
