For those of you who haven’t heard, TechBC is Canada’s
newest publicly funded university. It not only offers graduate
{Master’s and Ph.Ds) and undergraduate programs, but also
continuing and corporate education programs. It is the only
university in Canada dedicated to high tech education. But
don’t we have enough high tech taining facilities already?

Although ‘TechBC may sound like an institution tailored to
the computer savvy, it is also geared to attract students who
wish to become leaders in our knowledge driven economy
whether or not they possess advanced computer skills.
According to Deborah Bartlette, Managing Director
Recruitment for TechBC, the jobs today are not cut and dried
any more. “Just because you
have a job description doesn’t
mean that that's what you’re
actually going to end up
doing. So we're trying to
prepare them for that sort of a
workplace ~ ever-changing ...

tuition is comparable to other first year university prograrns
and the degrees are recognized by other universities. Classes...
will stay small and there will be several on-line sessions and™
