B.C. iiterary prize

A North Shore writer
has won a province-
wide literary competi-
tion.

Yrish Gauntletr of North
Vancouver was awarded a
$1,090 first prize in’ the
Federation of —— British
Columbia Writers Pieh annu-
al Literary, Writes competi-

tion. Gauntlet is a communi-
ty development worker who
writes shore fiction and
award-winning poctry.

She received the prize for
her story Driving Vanesa
Home.

The federation supporrs,
develops and educates writers
throughout the province.
