slow residential markets in
British Columbia.”

Construction is expected
to drop to 112,500 dwelling
units started this year due to
a combination of slow
demand and surplus of exist-
ing supply.

Both the single-detached
and multiple dwelling sec-
tors are expected to record
declines of more than 25%.
