Neto, as a man- ufacturer, wholesaler and retailer, always has on hand a variety of samples, over- cuts or unusual one-of-a- kind garments. The auto- matic markdown system (NAMS) offers 30 to 50 items a week marked down 20 per cent. Every two weeks thereafter, the gar- ments are reduced to 40, 50 and 60 per ceni off. Each drop-off point is stamped with a date and customers may bid any- where along the card to indicate the purchase price they are willing to pay.
