Alberta motorists who
apply for B.C. licences.

Effective immediately
Alberta drivers, identified as
suspended through the Inter-
provincial Record Exchange
system, will be referred back
to Alberta where their licence
suspension must be resolved
with Alberta authorities.

Only when B.C. has clear
proof that an Alberta driver is
no longer suspended will it
consider their application for
a B.C. driver's licence. - P

bition. B.C. is reciprocating
by recognizing administrative
driver licence suspensions
imposed on Albertan drivers
who subsequently apply for a
B.C. licence.

New procedures will
require Alberta drivers whose
records indicate “suspension”
or “hold” resolve the status
with the Alberta Driver
Records first before being
granted a B.C. permit.
