It all started in 1969 when John
Davies discovered another John
Davies had joined the ACTRA
union membership ahead of him.
Duplicates are not allowed, so a
new name had to be found.

With characteristic straightfor-

wardness, John Davies figured that _

since his father (who was also nam-
ed John) went by the name of
‘Jack’, and he was Jack's son,
he'd call himself ‘Jackson’ Davies.

One year old Christopher is the
undisputed kingpin of the Davies’
Richmond home. On the day we
talked, Jackson was home ‘with
chid’ (as he put it) while Linda
bustled around town picking up last
minute things for ‘Mommy and
Daddy's week off’ in Acapulco.

But while Christopher may be the
most important project in Jackson's
life, he’s managed to work in time
tor a few other things as weil.

For a short terme last fall, Van-
cOuver audiences saw him as
