NV firms land arctic contract Two North Vancouver company’s have been awarded contracts worth $45 million to build equipment for Artic oil operations. The Dillingham = Cor- poration and Allied Ship- builders landed the contracts with Dome Petroleum which made the announcement last week. Dillingham will build four large concrete caissons to be used in the contruction of an artificial island in the Beaufort Sea, while Alhed will build a 3,000 bop. Artic class tcebreaking tug. The work is expected to create 150 additional jobs at Allied and Dillinghem is expected to employ up to 140 workers on the project.
