Your call READERS’ VOICE CALL US: $83-2208 Voters had enough promises Dear Editor: Noel Wright, in his column of Aug. 15, suggested’ that the Reform Party and the PCs should get together and run only one candidate in some:ridings. He feels that we are competing for the same voters because of a similar ideological approach. On the surface this might seem to be quite a reasonable thing to do... However, Wright overlooked something very important: the PCs have consistently shown that, they cannot be trusted to deliver “Should province provide medical ; treatment for wounded Bosnians? Jenny K. North Vancouver f think they should let people in because we have the hospitals and doctors who can take care of these children. Jackie West Vancouver I think that B.C. should definitely admit injured Bosnians for treat- ment. Out here with food in our mouths and roofs over our heads, we don’t understand the terror they are going through over there, It’s time we stopped being so self- ish, and start to show compassion. We would like to know what you think! Call in with your response by Wednesday 5 p.m. on the ideology. It is true that Kim Campbell has been stealing from the ‘‘surface”’ of Reform policy in an atiempt to attract voters back to her party, but there is no depth to her pro- posals and everything is being promised for after the election. She has no detailed plan for contro! of the deficit ‘‘until after the election.” She has made vague references to freer votes in the House of Commons while at the same time refusing to pledge to represent the voters. | Ske has promised to have MPs’ pensions reviewed by the consul- (ants as a way of avoiding a commitment to aholish the present scheme. There comes a time when enough is enough. Those PC voters Wright. is writing about have had enough of the promises — they are ready for real Reform and will not setile for com- promised choice.
