See renovated homes

THE GREATER Vancouver
Home Builders’ Association
(GVHBR) invites the public to
tour eight professionally renovat-
ed homes from [1 a.m to 4 p.m on
Sunday, Oct. 30,

The Parade of Renovated
Homes, organized by members of
the GVHBR Renovation Council,
will showease innovative design
and leading edge building prod-
ucts and techniques.

Renovators will be on site to
talk about their work and offer
expert advice on home renovation,
said council chair Steve Leckie.

“Last May, a record 7,200 peo-
ple visited the Ul residences on
our Parade of Renovated Homes
in only five hours, underlining the
growing trend towards home reno-
vation. Total renovation spending
in B.C. is expected to increase to
$2.5 billion in 1995,” said Leckie.

Admission to the homes is by
passport, available for $5 cach at
all homes on the tour, Passports
can then be presented for valida-
tion al the remaining homes.

Net proceeds from the sale of

the passports will be donated to
the Vancouver Rape Relief and
Women’s Shelter, a transition
house for battered women and
their children.

homes are:
