§ ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT

NOTICE is hereby given by the City of North Van-
couver, pursuant to Section 957 of the Municipal Act
of British Columbia, that a Public Hearing will be held
on MONDAY, OCTOBER 24, 1988 at 7:30 P.M. in
the Council Chamber, City Hall, 141 West 14th Street,

North Vancouver, B.C., to receive representations in
connection with the following proposed amendment
to the “Zoning Bylaw 1967" and the “Zoning Map
of the City of North Vancouver’, which is an integral
part thereof:

BY-LAW NO. 5948

To rezone Lots 3 - 7 and lane east of Lot 5, Biock
A, D.L. 552, Plan 7199, located at 890-914 Tobruck
Avenue (indicated in hatched pattern on the map
below), from RS One Family Residential Zone to
CD-156 Comprehensive Development 156 Zone to
permit 18. unit residential project on the site.

The amending by-law will regulate permitted uses,
the size, shape and siting of buildings and structures;
- off-street parking and accessory off-street parking
requirements; landscaping and maintenance; loca-
tion, storage and screening of refuse containers.

The proposed by-law will include a variance to per-
mit relaxation of the regulations with respect to unen-
cumbered view.

The City of North Vancouver Development Services
Department will be making a presentation regarding
proposed amendments to the “Lower Lonsdale
Overall Development Policies” which is Schedule B
of the Ofticial! Community Plan.

The changed areas designated for comprehensive
development within the Official Community Plan af-
fect fands generally between 3rd Street and the

7 . Waterfront, St. Georges and Mahon Avenue. The

changes proposed in the Draft Lower Lonsdale
Overail Gevelopment Policies are based on the 3
Character Area Study earlier released to the public,
as well as changes of an updating nature.

Persons who believe that their interest in propert
is affected wili be afforded a reasonable opportuni-
ty to be heard. No change to the Official Communi-
ty Plan will occur based on these proposals as a
result of the public information meeting. Changes to
the Plan would require a by-law and a formal public
hearing, which would provide those who believe that
their interest in property is affected, another oppor-
tunity to be heard.

Draft Lower Lonsdale Overall Development Policies
