REGISTRATION is now being held for the award-winning North Vancouver Youth Band which hopes to take up
invitations to compete in music festivals next summer in West Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Experienced
musicians are welcome, especially players of low brass instruments, but no musical experience Is required for junior
levels of the well-known band. For more information about registration at Highlands Community School, 3150

North Van players
begin a new season

At the first General
Meeting of the season held
recently, North Vancouver
Community Players
President, Dave Mclntosh,
outlined the Group’s theatre
program for the months
ahead.

Neal Simon's comedy The
Odd Couple scheduled for
production at Presentation
House October 6 through 16,
is already well into rehearsal
and promises to be as
hilanously entertaining as
last May’s Move Over Mrs
Markham.

and November 12 and 13.
These will be followed
by the Players’ traditional
Cabaret Night, moved from
its usual spot at the
beginning of the season to
November 25 - 27 and
December 2 - 4

will be at Hendry Hall

Players’ home base A
Christmas cntertainment for
young people is also
proposed and plans for 1983
include dramas, restoration
comedy and more onc-act
plays.

one ticket for all scheduled
productions. Holders will be
entitled to several ad-
vantages, including price
reductions, guaranteed seats
and advance program in-
