know the right time to shift

and stability at higher
speeds.

pension offers excellent con-
teol and the new front struts
offer improved damping,

my opinion, The Civic's vari-
able-assist steering has just
the right amount of eftort at
low and high speeds, and
makes the Civie very easy to
drive. A turning diameter of
11.2 (37 feet) makes U-
turns fairly easy.

Outward visibility to the
front and sides is excellent,
but like most contemporary
sedans, the high trunklid and
protruding third brake light
make parallel parking a bit of
a guessing game.
