16 -— North Shore News -— Sunday, February 6, 2000 MORE than 300 coats and jackets were col- lected through a cloth- ing drive co-sponsored by the Vancouver Playhouse and The Bay. The clothing drive was held in conjunction with the Playhouse’s current produc- tion of The Overceat. The public was asked to drop off their unwanted coats and outerwear to The Bay stores. Donors were eligible to win an overcoat from The Bay as well as theatre tickets and overnight accommoda- dons at the Crowne Plaza Georgia Hotel. The cold-weather clothes will be donated to homeless, runaway and at-risk youth through Covenant House, a Vancouver charity.
