Canadians can gain new confidence about their finan- cial affairs through two non- promotional investment courses being offered by the not-for-profit Investor Learning Centre of Canada (ILC) in more than 50 cities and towns in all parts of Canada. and Intelligent Investing Level TI, cater to everyone from beginner investors to more experienced individuals. The courses have been devel- oped and reviewed by the Canadian Sccurities Institute, the national educator of Canada’s securities industry. “As thousands of people who've taken these courses will tell you, investing in your own financial education is the best investment you can make this RRSP season. What you learn in our courses will set life,” said Heather Hewat, pacific regional manager for the ILC. The courses are taught by senior investment: protession- als, licensed and trained by the ILC, who are bound by a strict code of conduct to keep the seminars completely non- prometional. With instructors in com- munities as diverse as Whitehorse, YK and Truro, NS, the program is unique in the world. The Level 1 course, which books and a student binder, covers the basics of investing in six weekly sessions of pvo and half hours each. The advanced Level II course, recommended — for graduates of Level 1, costs $200 and lasts eight sessions.
