THE FOLLOWING people ap-
peared in’ North and West Van-
couver provincial courts recently
to face various charges.

Before Judge WAI. Rodgers in
North Vancouver provincial couct
on April 10:

Willem Cornless Vantunen was
fined $100 after the 30-year-old
North Vancouver man pleaded
guilty Co stealing sweat pants Feb.
10 from Sears Canada Ine.

Hacry Tsarabaris received a
conditonal - discharge and = was

placed on probation for one year
after the 24-year-old Vancouver
man pleaded guilty to possession
of cannabis in connection with an
Oct. 13, 1990 drug seizure.

Tsarabaris was also ordered to
complete 50 hours of community
work service.

Mark Perry Adinussen received
a suspended sentence and was
placed on probation for one year
after the 28-year-old North Van-
couver man pleaded guilty to
stealing shoes Feb. 18 from Sears.
He was also ordered to complete
200 hours of community work
service.

Jonas Kane Kinakin was
sentenced to five days in jail after
the 19-year-old Bowen Island man
pleaded guilty to failing to report
to his probation officer between
July 17 and 21, 1990, as directed
by a probation order.

Randy Ervan West was fined
$100 after the 35-year-old Co-
quitlam man pleaded guilty to
stealing a video tape Feb. 13 from
Save-On-Foods.

Before Judge W.J. Rodgers in
Nortts Vancouver provincial cvurt
on April 9:

Felise Talia was fined $1,000
after the 44-year-old Vancouver
resident was found guilty of
assault causing bodily harm in
connection with an Aug. 9, 1990
incident.

Talia was also ordered to pay 2
$100 victim surcharge.

Before Judge D.R. Campbell in
North Vancouver provincial court
on April 5:

David Elliott L’Hoir was fined
$200 after the 24-year-old Van-
couver man was found guilty of
failing to remain at the scene of a
Jan. 4 accident in 100-block East
Third.

Before Judge W.J. Rodgers in
North Vancouver provincial court
on April 5:

Robert Huth was sentenced to
three days in jail after the 36-
year-old North Vancouver man
pleaded guilty to assaulting a
woman on Feb, 23, 1990.

James Sherry was sentenced to
a three-day jail term and placed
on probation for one year after
the St-year-old North Vancouver
man pleaded guilty to assaulting a
woman on Jan. 16.

Lydia Frias Doromal received a
conditional discharge and was
placed on probation for three
months after the 5l-year-old Van-
couver woman was found guilty
of theft under $1,000 in connec-

David Patrick Robertson
received a conditional discharge
and was placed on probation for
one year after the 41-year-old
North Vancouver man was found
guilry of committing an indecent
act -\pril 27, 1990 in the area of
Park and Tilford Centre.

Before Judge D.E. Moss in North
Vancouver provincial court) on
March 27:

Jeffrey Roger Glaeser received a
suspended sentence and was plac-
ed on probation for six months
after the 30-vear-old) North Van-
couver man pleaded guilty to
causing mischief by damaging =
glass door, owned by Lonsdale
Quay Hotel, on Dec. 12, 1990.

As conditions of his probation,
Glaeser was ordered to stay away
from Tugs in the quay complex
and to pay $355.5) in compensa-
tion to Lonsdale Quay Hotel.
