The man who made massive
musical marks with Parliament-
Funkadelic (P-Funk) — hands up

with a funktastic spin.

The keyboardist’s project is
backed by an all-star entourage
including David Byrne, Herbie
Hancock, Keith Richards, Bootsy
Collins, Gary ‘““Mudbone’’ Cao-
per, Sly Dunbar and Robbie
Shakespeare, Vernon Reid, Jerry
Harrison and Phoebe Snow.

The styles of funk presented are
varied and wondrous.

Opening cut Sing, co-written by
Bysne, has a Talking Heads feel to
it. There’s a bizarre but lovable
