WV escapee found in Greece THE MONTREAL man who escaped shoeless Jan. 30, 1986 from the West Vancouver provincial courthouse was arrested in Greece Oct. 11. Eric ‘Baby Face’’ Valois was sentenced to 13 months in a Greek jail after pleading guilty to possessing two unlicensed rifles and in- juring a harbor official on the Greek island of Rhodes. In addition, Yalois faces charges of stealing 2 $2 million yacht from Antibes and possessing forged travel documents. West Vancouver Police said the 25-year-old Montreal man was appearing on explosives and weapons charges in West Vancouver provincial court when he bolted from the courthouse through a fire exit. He had been arrested after West Vancouver Police seized a cache of dynamite, electric detonators, 9 .38 calibre revolver, ammuni- tion, wigs and masks at a West Vancouver home. After escape from West Vancouver, Valois was captared eight months later in the Bahamas. He escaped while being transferred to a plane fram Nassau to Fort Lauderdale, but was recaptured and eventually returned to Montreal, He disappeared in April after be- ing released for x day on leave.
