‘terminally weird’ part

A NORTH Shore resident is ap-
pearing in a story centring on a
few months in the life of a
Philadelphia go-go dancer at the
Firehall Theatre until July 11.

Gerry Rousseau plays Ralphie, a
character described as ‘‘terminally
weird,” in In the Boom Boom
Room, the Vancouver theatre's
latest seasonal offering.

“ts all set in Philadelphia in
the late '60s,’’ said the theatre’s
Leann Campbell. ‘‘It’s a slice of
life; a few months in (the go-go
dancer’s) life."'

“He’s a 60s acid head,”’
Rousseau, 33, said of his role in
the play. ‘‘He’s probably the orly
character in the play who knows
where he is really at.”’
