CHRISTIANNE LAUCHLIN doesn’t look much
like a movie star. She walks in wearing basic
teenage clothes and make-up, and a rather shy

15-year-old smile.

‘**You mind if I smoke?”’
she asks, when she realizes
she’s already grabbed an
ashtray.

Once all the formalities are
out of the way, however, the
qualities that took a North
Shore kid, who had to give
up skating because of ten-
donitis, to the set of the new
movie Glitter Dome in less
than two years, began to
emerge.
